JAF

Celebrity fragrance built on social proof

JAF is the fragrance house founded by Shahveer Jafry, with two signature scents, Angelica and Laceda, sold in three sizes and in gift sets. It moved its reviews to Quoli from its previous app and now asks every buyer how the fragrance wears.

Celebrity scents need buyer proof

A founder with a large following can sell the first bottle. The second and third come from people who already bought one, because a fragrance shopper wants to know how a scent wears on someone other than the face of the brand: how long it lasts, who it suits and whether it is worth buying again.

JAF sells two signature scents, Angelica and Laceda, in 10, 50 and 100 ml bottles and in gift sets. Its reviews sat in a previous app, and the move had to keep every one of them while adding the details fragrance shoppers ask about.

Proof on how long each fragrance lasts

The setup that answers the question fragrance buyers ask most.

How many hours the scent lasted

Every review asks how long the fragrance lasted, the buyer's gender and whether they would recommend it. Most reviewers say a JAF scent lasts five hours or more.

See Attributes

Launch reviews carried over intact

Reviews from the previous app were imported into Quoli, so Angelica and Laceda kept their proof from the first day. Imported reviews still make up more than a third of the total.

A request after each delivery

Review requests go out by email after each order and bring in most new reviews, with an on-site form for shoppers who want to leave one from the store.

The strongest line by the buy button

Nuggets place a short line from a real review next to the buy button, so the strongest proof is the first thing a shopper reads.

Reviews in the popup and carousel

The reviews widget on each product page leads engagement, with a review popup, a home page carousel and star ratings under product titles bringing reviews into browsing.

Proof of how long it lasts

Angelica and Laceda now carry 2.2K+ reviews between them, and close to a thousand reviewers have said how long the fragrance lasted. That one answer settles the question fragrance shoppers ask most, before they reach checkout.

Quoli attributes $85K+ in revenue and 1.2K+ orders to the program. Almost all of it is assisted attribution: orders from shoppers who engaged with reviews before buying. The rest came directly through discount codes earned by leaving a review.

Fragrance is hard to sell online because nobody can smell it through a screen. Quoli brought every review across from our old app, and now our buyers tell new shoppers how long Angelica and Laceda really last. That is the question we hear most, answered by the people who wear them.
