1. Who this policy covers
This policy applies to everyone who posts content through Quoli: shoppers who write reviews or ask questions on a store that uses Quoli, people who write reviews on the Quoli Reviews Directory at reviews.quoli.io, and merchants who reply to reviews or answer questions. Content means review text, ratings, photos, videos, questions, answers and replies.
Merchants also agree to the content rules in section 7 of our Terms of Service. How merchants collect, publish and moderate reviews is set out in our Review Authenticity Policy.
2. What belongs in a review
- Your own experience of a product you bought or used, or of the store you bought it from.
- What you really think, positive or critical. Honest low ratings are welcome and stay part of the record.
- Details that help the next shopper, such as fit, quality, how the product held up, delivery and service.
Questions should be about the product. Answers should be accurate and come from the store or from people who have used the product.
3. What is not allowed
We remove content, or ask the store to remove it, when it:
- Is fake or misleading, such as a review of a product you have not bought or used, more than one review of the same product, or a review written by or for someone who owns, works for or competes with the store.
- Was paid for or traded, such as content written in exchange for money, free products or other rewards, unless the store offered the reward for any honest review as our Review Authenticity Policy describes.
- Attacks people with hate speech, harassment, threats or slurs, including store staff and other reviewers.
- Is sexual, violent or graphic.
- Shares personal information, such as phone numbers, home or email addresses, order numbers, payment details or anyone's private messages.
- Is spam or advertising, such as links, promo codes, contact details for other businesses, or content unrelated to the product.
- Breaks the law or promotes something illegal.
- Presents a product as a cure or treatment for a medical condition.
- Uses photos, videos or text you do not own or have permission to share.
- Impersonates another person or business.
4. Photos and videos
- Post only photos and videos you took yourself or have permission to share.
- Show the product or your experience with it.
- Do not show other people without their consent, or anything listed in section 3.
5. Reviews on the Reviews Directory
- To write a review on reviews.quoli.io, you sign in with Google, Apple or an email account.
- Your review publishes right away under the name on your account and becomes part of that store's reviews on Quoli.
- Directory reviews do not carry the Verified buyer badge. The badge is only given to reviews submitted through a review request for a recorded order, as our Review Authenticity Policy explains.
- You can edit or delete a review you wrote from your account at any time.
Because directory reviews publish without waiting for approval, we look at every reported directory review and remove the ones that break this policy.
6. How we enforce this policy
Stores choose which reviews publish on their own storefront, within the rules of our Review Authenticity Policy. They cannot change what a customer wrote, and they may not hide a review because it is negative. Quoli looks into reports about content on any store that uses Quoli and on the Reviews Directory.
When content breaks this policy, we may:
- Remove the content, or only the part that breaks it, such as a photo.
- Ask the store to archive a review on its storefront.
- Suspend or close a Reviews Directory account for serious or repeated violations.
- Report content to the authorities where the law requires it.
We do not remove content because it is critical, or because a store asks us to when the content follows this policy.
7. Report content
To report a review, photo, question or answer, email support@quoli.io with the subject line "Conduct report". Include a link to the page where it appears and a short description of the problem. We look into every report.
For copyright complaints, follow our Copyright (DMCA) Policy. For personal data about you in a review, see our Privacy Policy. If content suggests someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
8. Ask us to look again
If we removed your content or closed your account and you believe it followed this policy, email support@quoli.io with the subject line "Content appeal". Include the link or the review details and tell us why. A person on our team reviews every appeal and replies by email.
9. Changes and contact
We update this policy when our product or the law changes, and the date at the top always shows the latest version. For questions about this policy, email support@quoli.io.
